Director, Supply Chain Management (Defense Tech)

Location: Melbourne, Florida; Rochester, New York; or Salt Lake City, Utah. The role is based at a major Communication and Spectrum Dominance site and follows a 9/80 schedule.

Salary range: $125,500–$233,500, depending on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead supply chain operations across procurement and subcontracts in support of business and program objectives.
• Develop supply chain strategies aligned with business priorities, program requirements, and operational goals.
• Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, coaching, and performance management.
• Deploy and optimize tools, systems, standard processes, and operating rhythms to improve visibility and execution.
• Partner with engineering, program management, operations, quality, finance, suppliers, and business leadership.
• Improve supplier performance, material flow, lead times, quality, cost, affordability, producibility, and supply continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of prior experience, or a graduate degree and 13 years of experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 19 years of related experience.
• Significant leadership experience in supply chain, procurement, subcontracts, or a related area.
• Experience with supply chain planning, execution, risk management, performance management, and organizational improvement.
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to US citizens.
• Work at one of the listed US locations is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with FAR Part 15 and FAR Part 12 contracting.
• Knowledge of import/export requirements.
• Experience supporting new product, program, or business ramps.
• Experience with ERP/MRP implementation or tool deployment, including Costpoint.
• Strong leadership, communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
