Associate AI Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Base compensation: $80,000–$120,000 annually, plus a 25% annual bonus target and RSUs.

What you will do

• Operate and improve AI-powered chat, voice, and customer-support systems used in lending and customer-service workflows.
• Build agent workflows, API-integrated tools, guardrails, retrieval rules, escalation paths, and production release practices.
• Develop automated tests, simulations, monitoring, tagging, quality-assurance systems, and performance reporting for conversational AI.
• Build Python services, APIs, data and evaluation pipelines, internal tools, and integrations with internal systems.
• Apply security and governance practices for customer data, credentials, PII, regulated workflows, auditability, and deterministic validation.
• Progressively own production engineering projects across Python, APIs, data, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

Requirements

• Strong programming fundamentals and practical Python experience.
• Working knowledge of SQL and structured data analysis.
• Ability to break ambiguous problems into testable components, read unfamiliar code, and trace system behavior.
• Strong written communication, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with engineers and nontechnical domain experts.
• Interest in AI behavior, analytics, backend systems, product workflows, and measuring outcomes.
• U.S. work authorization is required; hirify.global will not sponsor work visas.

Nice to have

• Experience building APIs, backend services, automation, data pipelines, or internal tools.
• Experience evaluating LLMs, conversational agents, or other probabilistic systems.
• Knowledge of experimental design, statistics, causal inference, or applied econometrics.
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, agent tools, workflow engines, or model evaluation.
• Experience with TypeScript, frontend frameworks, cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, or regulated industries.
