Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - Operations Application Development (AWS)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States. Relocation is provided. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, current U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees.

Base pay for Washington applicants: $197,529.00–$276,539.55 annually; ranges may differ by site.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale software projects from requirements and system design through rollout and production support.
• Build full stack applications and automations for material planning, production control, manufacturing, quality, safety, and test operations.
• Design event-driven workflows and guide migration from a legacy monolith to AWS Lambda-based microservices.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Use Codex and Claude Code to implement features, refactor services, write tests, troubleshoot issues, and develop reusable agentic coding workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate architecture, tradeoffs, progress, and risks across technical and operations teams.

Requirements

• Extensive production experience designing, deploying, and operating applications on AWS, including Lambda, messaging, event routing, and monitoring services.
• Deep hands-on Terraform experience managing production AWS infrastructure as code.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment validation, and rollback strategies.
• Proficiency with Codex or Claude Code, including task definition, execution guidance, code review, and testing of generated code.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience and a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
• Production experience with TypeScript, Java, C#, React or a similar framework, backend services, APIs, databases, and mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, microservices, and monolith decomposition.
• Systems programming experience with C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience with React and TypeScript applications using Vite or Next.js.
• Advanced relational database schema design and query performance experience.
