Medical Assistant-Internal Medicine Full Time Days $2000 Sign On Bonus

Location: Vernon Hills clinic, 870 N. Milwaukee, Illinois, United States. Full-time onsite role, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday daytime schedule.

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is included for eligible candidates.

What you will do

• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, update clinical information, and support efficient patient flow.
• Assist physicians and nurses with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and stock exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
• Communicate professionally with patients and members of the care team in person and by phone.
• Perform delegated procedures according to internal medicine protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a medical assistant or written proof of eligibility for an approved certification examination.
• Medical assistant certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment as a condition of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
