Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Onsite at a health center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.

Salary: $20.80-$26.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, operate EKGs, and use other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Support front-desk administration, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies.

Requirements

• National Medical Assisting certification from an approved organization, or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed hands-on externship; fully online courses are not accepted.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
• State Lab Certificate is required for Nevada positions.
• CMA certification from an approved recognized certifying body is required for South Carolina positions.
