Medical Assistant - Mechanicsville, VA

Location: Mechanicsville, Virginia, United States; onsite position

Pay range: $21.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support the primary care physician and deliver an efficient, patient-focused experience.
• Prepare exam rooms, escort patients, review medical information, and collect updated health data.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Schedule patients, manage medical record requests, coordinate referrals, and handle check-in and check-out.
• Document patient information, process test results, communicate results, and conduct patient outreach.
• Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and collaborate on individual patient care plans.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is preferred and may be required by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
