What you will do

• Support primary care physicians and deliver a positive patient experience.
• Escort patients, prepare and stock exam rooms, and collect updated health information.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Manage front desk activities, including scheduling, check-in, check-out, referrals, medical record requests, and care coordination.
• Document patient information accurately, process test results, and communicate results as directed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and participate in patient outreach and care-gap initiatives.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is preferred and required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Work is based onsite in Richmond, Virginia.
