Client Office Phlebotomist FLOAT-Part-time Days SW

Location: Various client sites in Cedar Rapids, Manchester, and Marion, Iowa, United States; travel between sites is required.

Salary: $20.25–$27.34 per hour, including float differential compensation.

What you will do

• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens from infant, adult, geriatric, and wheelchair-bound patients.
• Provide post-phlebotomy care, identify medical assistance needs, and follow patient safety procedures.
• Label, process, transfer, and track specimens according to established protocols.
• Maintain requisitions, manifests, quality-control records, refrigerator temperatures, and related laboratory documentation.
• Enter laboratory orders, follow up on timed draws and results, and communicate with laboratory, physician, and client office staff.
• Travel to additional client sites and complete clerical, specimen-processing, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization, training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution, or at least one year of healthcare phlebotomy experience.
• Availability for a part-time schedule of 32 hours per week, including weekends and flexible start or end times.
• Ability to drive to client sites in Cedar Rapids, Manchester, and Marion, Iowa.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy across a broad range of patient types and maintain accurate specimen collection standards.
• Preferred qualifications include laboratory specimen processing, centrifuge handling, medical EMR experience, medical terminology knowledge, and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance.
