Phlebotomist Float

Location: Rockville, Maryland, United States, and surrounding areas. The role requires travel to additional sites and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Pay: $17.75–$26.00 per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour float incentive and mileage reimbursement. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available to external applicants.

What you will do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data accurately and process billing information and payments when required.
• Provide customer service and complete administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel between clinics and locations as a float phlebotomist.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of an accredited training program, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proven customer service record.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test and be at least 21 years old.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of phlebotomy experience.
