Biometric Health Screener (Phlebotomy)

Location: Billings, Montana, United States; local health screening events, mainly on weekday mornings

Salary: $27–$35 per hour

What you will do

• Perform and record biometric measurements, including height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI.
• Collect blood samples through fingersticks and venipuncture in a fast-paced event environment.
• Prepare specimens for storage or additional processing and maintain laboratory transaction records.
• Set up and break down portable blood draw and biometric screening stations.
• Transport supplies to and from events when needed, including loads of up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• At least 200 successful venipunctures within the last year, preferably within the last six months, and/or 100 fingersticks within the last year.
• Ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff independently.
• Current national phlebotomy certification from an approved organization, or an accredited phlebotomy program certificate/diploma with completed hands-on externship.
• State-specific phlebotomy certification is required for phlebotomy work in Nevada, California, Washington, and Louisiana.
• Reliable transportation, computer literacy, strong communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to pass a background check.
