Regional Procurement Category Manager (Flavor Specialty Chemicals & Hydrocolloids and Additives)

What you will do

• Develop and execute regional category strategies for flavor specialty chemicals, hydrocolloids, and additives across the EMEA Taste business.
• Manage high-volume raw material portfolios, including portfolio consolidation, harmonization, standardization, and supplier rationalization.
• Lead strategic sourcing projects, regional and global RFQs, supplier negotiations, and supply agreement management.
• Build strategic supplier relationships, monitor market and regulatory developments, and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Develop contingency plans, alternative sourcing strategies, and supplier diversification programs for critical materials and vendors.
• Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Product Development, Commercial, and Finance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Experience managing high-volume raw material portfolios and supplier rationalization initiatives.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, critical supplier management, supply chain risk management, and business continuity planning.
• Experience with procurement methodologies, strategic sourcing tools, spend analytics, supplier management systems, and SAP.

Nice to have

• Experience in flavors, specialty chemicals, food ingredients, or related industries.
• Knowledge of vanillin, ethyl vanillin, and natural or synthetic aroma chemicals.
• Experience leading sustainability, innovation, or supplier development programs.
• Advanced Excel skills.
