Cybersecurity Engineering & Operations Director (AI/SaaS)

What you will do

• Develop and execute the cybersecurity engineering and operations strategy, translating business risks into technical roadmaps, architecture standards, and measurable outcomes.
• Design and improve security controls across AWS and corporate environments, including identity, networks, workloads, containers, Kubernetes, data, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Lead security operations and incident response across detection, investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Own vulnerability and exposure management across applications, cloud environments, endpoints, and external attack surfaces.
• Lead Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoint, email, application, product, API, and AI-enabled application security programs.
• Manage and develop cybersecurity leaders, engineers, and operations professionals while advising Engineering, IT, Product, Compliance, and executive leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years in security leadership or management roles.
• Experience managing managers and technical security teams.
• Deep experience securing cloud-native enterprise SaaS applications and AWS services, with strong knowledge of Linux, networking, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on expertise with SIEM, EDR, CSPM, vulnerability management, WAF, security mhirify.globaloring, and incident response programs.
• Experience securing Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including MFA, Conditional Access, privileged identity management, and access governance.
• Experience with application and API security, Python, Bash, Terraform, APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code security, policy-as-code, and AI tools or LLM-based assistants.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS security, CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, DevSecOps, offensive security, or red-team programs.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or FedRAMP technical controls.
• CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or GIAC certification.
• Experience securing AI-enabled applications, LLM integrations, and APIs.
