Engineering Intern (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Support a fast-paced manufacturing production line while maintaining throughput, safety, quality, and timing goals.
• Identify, analyze, and lead continuous improvement projects using process monitoring and production data.
• Conduct feasibility studies, develop manufacturing processes, and implement robust process controls across product development, launch, capacity increases, and ongoing production.
• Provide manufacturing engineering input for product changes, process planning, change management, documentation, and process validation.
• Design, procure, and maintain manufacturing fixtures and tooling, including process automation for throughput and quality improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external customers, and suppliers to support manufacturing excellence.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and work independently or as part of a team.
• CAD experience for fixture design and product analysis; SolidWorks knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience with technical drawings and geometric tolerancing and dimensioning.
• Curiosity about manufacturing processes and assembly techniques, with strong attention to detail.
• Interest in process improvement and a proactive approach to achieving results.
