Mechanical Engineering Internship 2027

Location: Reading Innovation Centre, Reading, United Kingdom. The internship is onsite and requires the candidate to have their own right to work in the UK for the full duration without sponsorship from P&G.

Salary: £2,625 per month for the summer internship.

What you will do

• Work on live engineering projects in the Packing or Assembly groups.
• Collaborate with vendors to design, develop, and deliver equipment for global partners.
• Participate in design reviews and develop initial concepts into products and packaging.
• Investigate and implement new technologies and processes for products and equipment.
• Improve equipment efficiency and evaluate automation in packing and assembly operations.
• Develop sustainability improvements for manufacturing equipment and processes.

Requirements

• University student graduating in 2028 and studying Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Science or Engineering, Production, Product Design Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotic Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and achievement in academic or non-academic activities.
• Ability to drive real-world projects through to completion.
• Interest in new technologies, process improvement, innovation, and manufacturing equipment.
• Must have valid UK right-to-work permission from 5 July 2027 to 24 September 2027 for at least 37.5 hours per week; visa sponsorship is not available.
