Engineering Process Improvement Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site Monday through Friday in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States; up to 15% travel may be required to Fulton, Missouri, or other hirify.global Switchgear manufacturing sites.

What you will do

• Improve engineering, manufacturing, and design processes across multiple Switchgear production facilities.
• Create and maintain engineering design manuals, work instructions, process guides, drawings, and engineering change documentation.
• Translate engineering and manufacturing knowledge into clear, repeatable standards and documentation.
• Support standard assemblies, design guidelines, training, communication, and adoption of new procedures.
• Facilitate reviews and workshops, gather feedback, and align engineering, production, and quality teams.
• Monitor process effectiveness and recommend improvements to quality, consistency, and operational performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ideally 2+ years of related design or engineering experience, including work instructions, procedures, engineering drawings, or design and manufacturing standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software and the ability to interpret technical drawings and assemblies.
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, production, product development, or continuous improvement in an industrial environment.
• Strong written communication, prioritization, independent working, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with fabrication, assembly, welding, wiring, or electromechanical manufacturing processes; ability to travel up to 15%.

Nice to have

• Experience creating or modifying 3D models and drawings.
• Experience with process improvement, standardization initiatives, Lean Manufacturing, or similar continuous improvement efforts.
