Sr Software Engineer in Test (AI)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah — hybrid; on-site with the team 2–3 days per week, typically. Candidates should live within about 50 miles of the office.

Base salary: $142,600–$197,100 per year, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Plan, design, and deliver testing for the User Access Monitoring product suite and its integrations.
• Gather integration requirements and organize technical resources for product setup and test environments.
• Design automated test cases, scripts, regression suites, and continuous integration coverage.
• Execute functional, integration, unit, system performance, stress, and load testing; analyze results and report defects.
• Use generative AI for requirements synthesis, test generation, log analysis, anomaly detection, synthetic data creation, and root-cause investigation.
• Collaborate with development and test teams to reproduce issues, improve coverage, and maintain reliable test automation.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of software engineering experience, preferably with a focus on test automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience developing test automation tools and frameworks, including generative AI automation accelerators.
• Strong programming experience with Python and Linux shell scripting, including AI SDKs, embeddings, model inference APIs, and automation pipelines.
• Experience with configuration management, integration testing, CI/CD test orchestration, Red Hat Linux, and Kubernetes.
• Must be able to work in the United States and be willing to obtain a government security clearance if required.

Nice to have

• Experience applying generative AI to configuration analysis, deployment artifacts, cluster diagnostics, performance analytics, and test coverage optimization.
