Senior Product Engineer (Ruby)

Location: London, England; hybrid working with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Develop technical plans and contribute to the architecture of products serving tens of millions of people daily.
• Build backend infrastructure in Ruby, integrating AWS, infrastructure, platform, and SaaS technologies.
• Develop both backend and frontend systems within multidisciplinary product teams.
• Address scaling challenges across areas including messaging, rule matching, deliverability, security, app availability, and machine learning.
• Ship production changes and features rapidly using automated deployment processes and AI-powered developer tools.
• Mentor engineers and participate in candidate interviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering, preferably building SaaS products.
• Demonstrated significant impact on products or engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers and delivering value to customers or users.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Ability to work from the London office at least three days per week.
