Technical Recruiter – Software (Aerospace)

Location: San Francisco, CA; Workplace: On-site. Relocation assistance may be available when applicable.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own the full-cycle recruiting process for specialized software and product engineering roles, from sourcing through offer.
• Source and engage passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and creative outreach.
• Recruit across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, software integration, test infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Translate complex technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies for mission-control, ground software, telemetry, command systems, mission planning, data routing, and automation.
• Conduct phone screens, assess technical alignment, and manage candidate communication throughout the interview lifecycle.
• Partner with hiring managers and recruiters on market insights, pipelines, and hiring outcomes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience focused on software and product engineering roles.
• Experience recruiting technical talent across software engineering disciplines and building pipelines for niche positions.
• Understanding of Python, APIs, Git, Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, Linux, and cloud-based systems.
• Ability to understand and communicate complex software requirements, including embedded C/C++, RTOS, secure web applications, satellite operations, flight dynamics, and AI/ML applications.
• Experience with phone screening, candidate assessment, stakeholder collaboration, and candidate communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with ATS tools; Lever experience is preferred.

• Recruiting experience in space, satellite, aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, or other deep-tech industries.
• Experience recruiting internationally across US and European technical talent markets.
• Startup or high-growth technology company experience, agency recruiting, or experience managing multiple specialized searches.
• Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and compliance considerations for US-based space and defense hiring.
• Experience with employer branding, recruiting metrics, pipeline health, and sourcing performance.
