Director, Benefits (AI)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters

Salary: $191,900–$255,800 per year

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end strategy, design, administration, and annual renewal of US benefits programs.
• Provide strategic oversight and hands-on management for benefits programs across EMEA countries.
• Establish global benefits frameworks, policies, standards, and governance for APAC programs.
• Design and execute a global wellbeing strategy covering physical, mental, financial, and social wellbeing.
• Manage brokers, insurers, consultants, wellbeing vendors, RFPs, negotiations, and service performance.
• Lead and mentor benefits professionals while partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, Communications, and People Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive benefits experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing US benefits in a complex organization with 5,000+ employees.
• Experience managing benefits across multiple EMEA countries and supporting global or regional programs.
• Strong knowledge of US benefits compliance, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, vendor negotiation, and executive presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or managing employee wellbeing programs.
• Experience with M&A activity, new country expansions, benchmarking, and market analysis.
