Software Engineer – AEM / Java / Angular (AEM)

Location: Michigan, near the Metro Detroit area. Hybrid schedule with 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week from home; fully remote work is not available. Candidates must be able to commute to the office by the start date.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and optimize software applications and products.
• Engage with customers to understand use cases, pain points, and software requirements.
• Define application architecture, technology stacks, integration methods, and deployment strategies.
• Develop interactive front-end interfaces and back-end APIs and microservices using Java and modern web technologies.
• Establish testing strategies and apply test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Improve application performance, support data security through encryption and anonymization, and evaluate emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years of IT experience and 4+ years of software development experience.
• Practical experience with two programming languages or advanced practical experience with one programming language.
• Experience with Adobe Suite, JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS, React, Apache Sling, and Java.
• Ability to work in the required hybrid arrangement near Metro Detroit, with four office days each week.

Nice to have

• Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and Adobe AEM certifications.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with microservices or service-oriented architecture.
• Experience using AI tools, GitHub Copilot, or agentic AI solutions for development, testing, content workflows, or automated code reviews.
• Strong hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and modern JavaScript front-end technologies.
