Senior Full Stack Java Developer (AI)

Location: Must be local to Lansing, Michigan or Farmington Hills, Michigan; four days of on-site work are required and there is no remote option.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Core Java, Java EE, Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Design and implement RESTful microservices with Jersey.
• Use AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot for code generation, debugging, and optimization.
• Write and refine prompts to guide AI-assisted development tasks.
• Validate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, security, and production readiness.
• Analyze JVM behavior and perform performance profiling.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with Core Java, Java EE, RESTful microservices, Jersey, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database.
• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants for development, debugging, and optimization.
• Ability to solve complex problems, apply analytical reasoning, think critically, and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Must be local to Lansing or Farmington Hills for on-site work and interviews.

Nice to have

• Advanced GitHub Copilot usage and prompt engineering expertise.
• CI/CD and DevOps experience.
• Unix or shell scripting.
• Docker, Memcache, Redis, or SAML experience.
