Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist (AI Hardware)

Location: Hybrid, based in London or across EMEA; travel required as projects require

Building a full-stack AI cloud spanning data centers, hardware, and a cloud platform for AI teams.

What you will do

• Coordinate inbound, outbound, intercompany, return, RMA, and site-transfer shipments for hardware.
• Prepare and review customs and shipping documentation, including HS classification, origin, valuation, and commercial invoices.
• Oversee export controls, licensing, sanctions checks, and shipment approvals.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and 3PL partners.
• Track freight costs, lead times, delivery performance, claims, and operational risks.
• Improve logistics processes, tracking, reporting, routing, and landed-cost control.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in international logistics, freight, or supply chain operations.
• Hands-on experience with customs, import/export, HS classification, origin, valuation, Incoterms, shipping documentation, importer-of-record arrangements, import VAT, and duty.
• Practical knowledge of sanctions and export controls, particularly for high-performance computing hardware.
• Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, and/or 3PL providers.
• Understanding of landed costs and how to compare shipping options by cost, lead time, and risk.

Nice to have

• Experience with technology or data center equipment, including GPU servers or other high-value hardware.
• Experience with suppliers across APAC or knowledge of Mandarin, Japanese, or another relevant language.
• Experience with ERP, warehouse, or transport management systems; SAP experience is a plus.
• Experience with reverse logistics, returns, repairs, and redeployment.
• Relevant logistics, supply chain, or trade compliance qualifications.
