Head Start Early Childhood Specialist Manager - Service Are XI (REMOTE)

Location: Home-based in the United States with extensive travel of up to 50% to assigned programs across the United States; quarterly meetings in Washington, DC. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $81,499–$138,549 annually.

What you will do

• Co-lead and supervise Early Childhood Specialists, providing ongoing oversight, coaching, and professional development.
• Implement quality assurance systems for technical assistance recipients and contract deliverables.
• Develop professional development covering early childhood education, coaching, curriculum implementation and fidelity, teacher-child interactions, family engagement, outcomes, assessment, and data analysis.
• Review technical assistance reports for accuracy and timely submission.
• Use, report, and present technical assistance data to improve service quality and coordination with state, regional, and national priorities.
• Conduct field observations, communicate with Area Office staff, participate in work groups and meetings, and provide direct technical assistance to grant recipients as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education/development, education leadership, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
• At least 7 years of experience, including 3 years providing training and technical assistance to Head Start or other early childhood programs related to school readiness.
• At least 3 years of progressive supervision, management, and staff development experience.
• At least 1 year of experience coaching staff.
• At least 1 year of experience developing, implementing, and managing or improving projects, including quality assurance systems.
• At least 1 year of experience using data to inform decision-making.
• At least 1 year of experience facilitating group discussions and presenting to varied audiences in multiple formats, including virtual formats.
• At least 1 year of oral and written communication experience, with the ability to adapt communication to different audiences and formats.
• Valid driver’s license, successful Motor Vehicle Records check, U.S. work authorization, and ability to travel up to 50%.
