Developer Acceleration Engineer (AI)

Location: Canada; remote-first

Annual salary: $128,000–$200,000 CAD. Most new hires join at the accomplished stage at $152,000 annually.

What you will do

• Build tools and shared infrastructure that improve developer productivity across the engineering organization.
• Develop agentic context, harnesses, plugins, skills, safe execution environments, and measurement systems.
• Apply a platform mindset while validating ideas through focused prototypes when appropriate.
• Study developer workflows and remove friction related to CI noise, large pull requests, review latency, and requested changes.
• Increase the share of pull requests opened, landed, and merged by AI agents.
• Communicate context, risks, and progress clearly in a distributed environment.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience designing systems and tooling used by other developers.
• Daily experience building with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor across the software development lifecycle.
• Experience building production-grade systems and working across large, long-lived codebases with multiple teams.
• Understanding of how to provide effective context to LLMs inside complex codebases.
• Curiosity about developer experience and productivity, including documentation, teaching, and adoption.
• Comfort with TypeScript; Ruby on Rails experience is helpful but not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with evaluations, prompt engineering, context engineering, or safety guardrails for autonomous agents.
• Background in observability and quality measurement, including for non-deterministic AI systems.
