Software Engineer (Mid-Level)

Location: Hybrid in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, UK, with at least one day per week required in the office.

Salary: £35,000–£50,000 per annum.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance business-critical applications during an ongoing digital transformation programme.
• Build scalable applications, APIs, and backend services using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Design and maintain integrations between internal systems, relational databases, and external services.
• Contribute to cloud-based solutions, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Support existing .NET applications and help transition legacy systems to modern service-based solutions.
• Investigate production issues, implement long-term fixes, participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies, and maintain software quality through testing.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Professional experience with .NET development and production applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Understanding of relational databases, SQL, system integration, and API-led development.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and cloud platforms, ideally AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Git-based version control, Agile development, live production issue resolution, and software testing.
• Availability for hybrid work in Leamington Spa, with at least one office day per week.

• AWS services, especially serverless technologies such as Lambda.
