Software Engineer (C#)

Location: London, UK. Hybrid working is required: 3 days per week in the London office during the first 6 months, followed by at least 2 days per week.

Salary: £80,000–£90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and improve products and technical services that monitor assets under management at large scale.
• Build distributed, cloud-native and resource-efficient systems using AWS services.
• Design, implement and maintain backend software and data solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, product requirements, work breakdown and agile delivery practices.
• Take ownership of solutions, collaborate with Engineering and Product, and communicate progress and blockers.
• Improve code, workflows and standards, including automation of manual tasks.

Requirements

• Mid-level engineering experience with generalist knowledge of software design, product development and agile practices.
• Professional coding experience in C#, Java or Python.
• Experience or understanding of TDD, CI/CD and architecture.
• Ability to solve well-defined problems independently, work with ambiguity and take ownership.
• Permission to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work from the London office according to the hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Terraform, AWS, Fargate, Lambdas or Step Functions.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy or Serverless.
