Software Engineering Placement Student (Fintech)

Location: Belfast, United Kingdom; hybrid with three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to deliver platform features.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable TypeScript and JavaScript code with mentor support.
• Build and test APIs supporting investment and tokenization products.
• Explore scalable, secure backend systems and high-performance fintech infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and QA activities.
• Use GitHub, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Some experience with JavaScript or TypeScript through coursework or personal projects.
• Basic understanding of web development and APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, communication, and collaboration.
• Proactive, organised, reliable, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Available for a 12-month, full-time placement starting in summer 2027, based in the Belfast office on a hybrid pattern.
