Principal Product Manager (AI)

Location: Remote

Base salary: $195,500–$230,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Set the product direction and roadmap for a zero-to-one AI initiative that improves oncology care decisions.
• Prototype, evaluate, and launch AI- and LLM-powered products with engineering and cross-functional partners.
• Build workflow tooling and decision-support interfaces for clinicians and care teams.
• Define evaluations, safety guardrails, observability, and quality standards for accurate, safe, trusted, and auditable recommendations.
• Partner with engineering on AI-system architecture, data models, and integrations.
• Communicate product tradeoffs and progress to clinical, engineering, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience, including zero-to-one or early-stage initiatives.
• Healthcare product experience, ideally with workflow, data, or integration products for enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience building or shipping AI- or LLM-powered products.
• Ability to define direction in ambiguous environments and work closely with technical details such as data models, edge cases, evaluations, and implementation impact.
• Strong communication and alignment-building skills across engineering, clinical, and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in oncology, serious illness, palliative care, or chronic condition management.
• Experience shipping AI/LLM product features with safety guardrails, evaluation, and quality measurement.
