Software Engineer (AWS, Python, DevOps)

Location: Hybrid in Stamford, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $74,000–$116,000 USD base salary per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus or role-based incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop automated cloud infrastructure and self-service capabilities using public cloud platforms and open-source technologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain server, storage, network, and security infrastructure as code.
• Build reusable application deployment pipelines and automated application configurations.
• Create scalable, resilient, containerized systems and highly available distributed architectures.
• Implement multi-region backup, recovery, disaster recovery, monitoring, and instrumentation.
• Lead technical discussions, troubleshoot development and production issues, and mentor product teams and junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with AWS cloud, automation development, and/or orchestration.
• Required experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless functions.
• Required knowledge of infrastructure automation and management tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with or exposure to GitOps and scripting with Python, shell, or Groovy.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and independent problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• AWS or Kubernetes certification.
• Full-stack knowledge.
