Senior Technical Project Manager

What you will do

• Define project roadmaps, milestones, success criteria, business cases, and funding requests.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, delivery governance, RAID items, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Lead end-to-end software initiative delivery across waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, coach teams on agile practices, and promote iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate Product Management, Business Analysis, Architecture, Engineering, business stakeholders, and third-party development teams.
• Lead workshops and inceptions, resolve conflicting priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Experience delivering software initiatives and multiple projects across the full delivery lifecycle in dynamic agile environments.
• Strong knowledge of agile and Scrum frameworks, ceremonies, incremental delivery, and software development processes.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, RAID, governance, risks, and reporting.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Kanban boards, matrix management, coaching, and stakeholder facilitation.
• Strong communication, analytical, critical-thinking, commercial-awareness, and customer-focus skills.
• Right to work and live in the UK is required.

Nice to have

• PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, SAFe, or AgilePM accreditation.
• Experience facilitating large-scale inceptions or discovery phases.
• Experience with academic publishing, digital content workflows, or distributed and third-party development teams.
