Senior Project Manager (Technology & Digital)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; smart hybrid working with two days a week in the office.

Salary: £58,000–£66,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead large projects and multiple medium or small projects across technology-enabled change portfolios.
• Develop, maintain, and track project plans, milestones, critical paths, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery teams, internal specialists, third-party consultants, and suppliers.
• Prepare and deliver RAG status reports and progress updates for senior stakeholders.
• Work with programme, delivery, and leadership teams to deliver outcomes on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Coach project members and provide matrix leadership while contributing to the strategic development of the Projects and Programmes teams.

Requirements

• Strong track record delivering technology or digital projects in a large or complex organisation.
• Recent hands-on experience delivering technology-enabled change, ideally within the last 18–24 months.
• Experience working with Director, Executive, and Senior Management stakeholders, including reporting, influencing, and escalation.
• Experience delivering projects in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, MSP, AgilePM, or equivalent.
• Strong people management, communication, problem-solving, analytical, and change management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering digital platforms, enterprise systems, or cloud-based solutions.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure and modern digital delivery environments.
• Experience managing complex integrations, dependencies, and third-party suppliers.
• Experience coaching or supporting Project Managers through matrix leadership.
• Experience with cultural change programmes, target operating model implementations, or IT departments.
