Senior Technical Coach

Location: London, England, United Kingdom. Hybrid working with 3–4 days per week from the London office; the role also includes up to two weeks per year working from anywhere.

What you will do

• Deliver technical training, workshops, coaching sessions, and practical exercises across Academy programmes.
• Guide associates through projects and technical challenges, building problem-solving skills, independence, communication, and confidence.
• Develop and maintain curriculum content, technical frameworks, assessments, and learning resources with the Head of Training.
• Assess assignments and project work, provide constructive feedback, monitor progress, and deliver targeted support.
• Collaborate with trainers, contractors, client stakeholders, and wider Academy teams to improve programme quality and prepare associates for client placements.
• Contribute to open days, information sessions, workshops, teaching observations, and wider Academy projects.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in a technical, training, or coaching role.
• Strong expertise in a relevant technology area and the ability to connect technical concepts with practical workplace applications.
• Experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring, with strong presentation, communication, and written feedback skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance programme delivery, preparation, assessment, and individual learner support.
• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and adapting delivery to different abilities and learning needs.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with a training team, and keep technical knowledge current.

Nice to have

• Recognised teaching qualification such as AET, CET, PGCE, or equivalent.
• Experience with technology bootcamps, early-career training, or Hire, Train, Deploy programmes.
• Commercial technology experience and knowledge of AI applications across organisations.
• Experience using learning management systems or digital training platforms.
• Experience developing technical curricula, practical projects, or assessments.
