Global Training Lead (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Hybrid role based in the London or Sunnyvale office, Monday to Friday. The division operates seven days a week, with occasional on-call duties.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a globally distributed team of Regional Training Leads and Training Coordinators.
• Define and improve global training architecture, curricula, onboarding pathways, certification frameworks, and operating standards.
• Translate operational insights, safety findings, and product changes into rapid training updates.
• Establish metrics and reporting for training effectiveness, operator readiness, performance, and compliance.
• Act as the final gatekeeper for operator readiness and safety before live on-road deployment.
• Partner with Operations, Product, and Safety teams while managing global certification and compliance records.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in training, capability development, operations enablement, or workforce readiness.
• Experience building and leading structured training programmes across multiple sites, regions, or countries.
• Experience designing scalable onboarding, certification, and recurrent training frameworks for operational roles.
• Ability to translate operational, product, and safety requirements into training content, standards, and readiness criteria.
• Strong data-driven performance improvement skills and comfort working with data pipelines, metrics, and reporting.
• Experience leading managers or senior individual contributors in a globally distributed function.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, transport, robotics, logistics, aviation, or defence.
• Familiarity with certification, compliance record-keeping, and audit requirements in regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Experience managing contractors and full-time employees, including transitions to full-time employment.
