Senior ML / AI Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Limassol, Cyprus, with one remote day per week

What you will do

• Turn product goals into AI solutions in collaboration with product managers.
• Build production LLM systems using retrieval, tool use, agents, structured outputs, context engineering, guardrails, fine-tuning, and distillation.
• Train and ship specialized models for moderation, trust and safety, recommendation, ranking, audio, vision, abuse, and anomaly detection.
• Choose between frontier APIs, open-weight models, and in-house training based on quality, latency, cost, and data-privacy constraints.
• Deploy models under real production load using serving optimization, batching, caching, quantization, and safe rollouts.
• Build evaluations, run online A/B tests, monitor drift and regressions, and roll back models when necessary.

Requirements

• Production experience with LLMs, including retrieval, tool use, agents, structured outputs, and prompt or context engineering.
• Experience with SFT, LoRA, preference tuning, model distillation, and evaluation dataset development.
• Experience training and shipping models on production data, with knowledge of data collection, labeling, leakage, class imbalance, and model debugging.
• Strong Python and PyTorch skills, efficient GPU usage, and solid machine learning fundamentals.
• At least 5 years of professional engineering experience, including model serving, reproducible pipelines, orchestration, versioning, monitoring, and rollback.
• Intermediate English or higher; comfortable collaborating with product managers, designers, data analysts, and engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Real-time or streaming inference, edge models, multimodal systems, or consumer-scale moderation and anti-fraud.
• Recommendation and ranking systems with online experimentation.
• Experience with vLLM, Triton, TensorRT, Ray, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, BigQuery, or Aerospike.
• Java 17+ and Spring Boot experience, or readiness to work with backend services.
• Experience with agentic development workflows, custom agents, MCP servers, and evaluation tooling.
