Senior Software Engineer (Data Systems)

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; hybrid, primarily in-office at least 3 days per week

What you will do

• Design and build large-scale distributed backend systems and graph-based data models.
• Develop high-throughput, low-latency data ingestion and processing pipelines with Python and Go.
• Own significant features from technical design through production rollout.
• Partner with product and security research teams to deliver scalable capabilities.
• Identify production risks and build observable, resilient solutions.
• Contribute through design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial backend systems experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Go, with experience designing and operating distributed systems in production.
• Experience with replication, partitioning, backpressure, idempotency, graph data, and graph databases.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, S3, Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or GCP.
• Experience designing APIs and backend services for high-traffic, multi-tenant workloads.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate on secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and incident investigations.

Nice to have

• Experience building cybersecurity products or graph-based analytics and knowledge graphs.
• Exposure to query engines, query optimization, traversal layers, or query layers.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Flink, or Spark Streaming.
• Contributions to open-source distributed systems or graph-related projects.
