Technical Delivery Manager (.NET)

Location: York, United Kingdom — hybrid, with 2–3 days in the office

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 base salary per year plus discretionary bonus

Established specialist software house with over 20 years of experience building data management and compliance software for highly regulated industries.

What you will do

• Run weekly planning meetings, review targets, allocate support tickets and set priorities.
• Scope new work and translate client needs into clear requirements.
• Introduce sprint-style planning, track delivery and coordinate testing.
• Own the development roadmap and decide the content of each release.
• Evaluate new technologies and guide their adoption and integration.
• Oversee legacy VB migration, replacement of end-of-life components, support triage, team mentoring and client-facing work.

Requirements

• Experience managing software delivery or guiding a development team across scoping, planning and delivery.
• Software development background with practical experience in .NET.
• Knowledge of agile or sprint-based ways of working.
• Confidence working with clients and presenting to groups.
• Collaborative leadership style with the ability to contribute ideas without being domineering.

Nice to have

• Visual Basic experience.
• Legacy migration experience.
• Experience in regulated industries.
