Staff Full Stack Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California; remote within the United States. Candidates residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not considered.

Salary: $169,150–$233,000 per year, depending on US location, skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for full-stack development and mentor other full-stack developers.
• Design and deliver partnership integrations, healthcare products, and B2B initiatives.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers on accessible, responsive, and user-friendly experiences.
• Own solutions from design through production deployment, monitoring, and documentation.
• Improve architecture, solve ambiguous engineering problems, and enable platform scalability.
• Maintain compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of practical full-stack web development experience.
• Extensive experience with TypeScript and modern client-side frameworks such as React.
• Experience architecting, building, and deploying scalable production web services on AWS or similar platforms.
• Ability to write maintainable, extensible, well-tested, and understandable code.
• Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with sound trade-off judgment around technical debt.
• Collaborative mindset and experience working with distributed teams.
