Director, Transportation & Logistics

Location: Onsite five days per week at an office in Santa Ana, Boca Raton, Plano, or Jersey City; Santa Ana preferred. Occasional quarterly travel is required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $173,000–$208,000 per year, with potential eligibility for bonuses, commissions, or other compensation.

What you will do

• Lead global transportation, shipping, logistics, and carrier strategy across parcel, express, international, freight, 3PL, and high-value logistics providers.
• Negotiate carrier contracts, manage RFPs, oversee service levels and claims, and maintain spend visibility, freight audit, and contingency planning.
• Own the transportation systems roadmap, including TMS selection and implementation, carrier management tools, analytics, and integrated shipment visibility across IMS, WMS, ERP, and carrier data.
• Design standardized global shipping, insurance, high-value transport, packaging, tracking, chain-of-custody, and claims processes.
• Oversee customs and trade compliance across North America, the EU, and APAC, including brokers, forwarders, classification, valuation, duties, and documentation.
• Build and develop a regional logistics team with KPIs for delivery, cost, damage, loss, and claims recovery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of transportation, logistics, or supply chain leadership experience in a global environment.
• Experience leading teams and external partners and negotiating carrier contracts across parcel, express, and international lanes.
• Experience implementing and using TMS, ERP, and WMS systems as a senior business owner.
• Working knowledge of customs, import/export, and trade compliance, including broker and forwarder management.
• Experience designing standardized shipping processes across multiple sites or regions.
• U.S. work authorization is required; this is an onsite role with five days per week in the office.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping high-value or irreplaceable goods, including insurance programs and claims.
• Experience with ProShip or similar multi-carrier shipping software and packaging or shipping solution design.
• Experience supporting international expansion across the EU and APAC.
• Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Customs Specialist, CTL/CTP credential, or a master's degree.
