Research Engineer (Materials Engineering)

Location: Woodbury, Minnesota, United States; onsite. Travel may include up to 5%. Relocation assistance is not authorized.

Compensation: $81,983–$100,202 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Develop precision coating and web processing capabilities for new products and processes.
• Scale technologies successfully from laboratory environments to manufacturing.
• Characterize and analyze the physical properties of fluids, dispersions, and substrates.
• Present experimental results clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
• Initiate and contribute to intellectual property development.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Currently hold or be in the final year of a bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience or understanding of materials properties, rheology, metrology, and process equipment is helpful.
• Ability to perform hands-on mechanical and experimental work and apply the scientific method.
• Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with a common CAD system such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks are helpful.
