Electromechanical Design Engineer (Low-Voltage Systems)

Location: Based in the Querétaro office, Mexico; domestic and international travel to hirify.global facilities and customer sites worldwide is required.

What you will do

• Execute customized electromechanical designs for low-voltage electrical and automation system solutions.
• Apply local, global, and industry design standards together with engineering best practices.
• Provide engineering support to Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Field Service, and Quality Control from sales through commissioning and service.
• Develop and standardize new electrical and mechanical designs for broader engineering use.
• Collaborate with electrical and automation engineers on project-specific drawing packages.
• Technically approve internal and subcontractor deliverables and enforce EHS, quality, and Integrated Management System requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control, or Mechatronics preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical design, drafting, or technical engineering.
• Experience designing low-voltage power distribution equipment is required.
• Knowledge of cable sizing, enclosure modeling, center-of-gravity calculations, and electrical equipment specification.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and interpret customer specifications.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEC, NEMA, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL standards; strong English communication skills.
