Manufacturing Engineer 2

Location: Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico; onsite. Availability to work in shifts is required, with travel of up to 5%.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate a technical staff supporting manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Design and implement manufacturing processes for new product introductions and existing production.
• Coordinate tooling, machines, equipment installation, process changes, factory layouts, and production capacity planning.
• Manage engineering changes, NPI and NSI activities, CAPEX projects, ABC cost estimating, and S&OP data analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects using Lean Manufacturing and DMAIC methodologies.
• Maintain manufacturing process health across People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost indicators.

Requirements

• University degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• At least five years of experience in manufacturing-related fields.
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, welding processes, Lean Manufacturing, takt time and cycle time studies, layouts, tooling functionality, and process concepting.
• Intermediate English proficiency required.
• Ability to work in shifts and travel up to 5% of the time.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in industrial, mechatronics, mechanical, or related engineering.
• Experience with quality tools, GD&T, problem-solving methodologies, and APQP.
• Advanced English proficiency.
