Product Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Tech Center Queretaro, Queretaro, Mexico; onsite role

What you will do

• Create layout, detail, and assembly drawings while checking customer environments for packaging and interference issues.
• Develop and release robust designs, design changes, CAD data, and drawings for prototype parts and assemblies.
• Apply engineering methods including FEA, GD&T, root cause analysis, DVP, DFMEA, hand calculations, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Support product testing, investigate test failures, identify safety concerns, and provide test specifications.
• Develop technical solutions addressing cost, performance, timing, weight, and investment objectives.
• Support suppliers, change documentation, costing and quoting, and accurate bills of materials in the product data management system.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with engineering drawings, design changes, CAD models, and product data management.
• Ability to apply design and quality tools such as FEA, GD&T, DFMEA, root cause analysis, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Ability to work onsite at the Tech Center Queretaro in Mexico.
• Travel within Mexico and to the United States is required.
