Accounting Manager (MedTech)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week at the San Mateo, CA office

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, revenue, COGS, and R&D or clinical accruals.
• Prepare budget variance analyses, quarterly flux analyses, and accounting schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as the US GAAP subject matter expert, preparing technical accounting memos and process flowcharts.
• Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, SOX compliance procedures, and state sales tax submissions.
• Oversee financial systems, support ERP implementations, design internal controls, and improve accounting processes cross-functionally.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience at a public company or in auditing; Big Four experience is a plus.
• Experience with IPOs or public company clients is strongly preferred.
• CPA designation or equivalent certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or an equivalent field.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and US GAAP, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States or eligible for a sponsorship path supported by hirify.global.
