Psychologist Reviewer (ABA)

Location: Remote in the United States, with an active psychologist license required in Arkansas, California, Kentucky, or North Carolina; other state licenses may be considered if additional required licensure can be obtained.

What you will do

• Authorize, direct, and monitor behavioral health and substance abuse care based on clinical information and medical necessity criteria.
• Conduct peer reviews with psychologists, behavioral health therapists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts for outpatient services and psychological testing requests.
• Educate network practitioners on best-practice models and utilization management processes.
• Consult with the Medical Director on clinical authorization questions and case-specific concerns.
• Respond to state, provider, and member complaints involving psychological testing and other services requiring PhD/PsyD review.
• Provide clinical input and oversight during outpatient rounds.

Requirements

• PhD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of behavioral health experience.
• Working knowledge of psychological tests, testing procedures, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based practices.
• Unrestricted psychologist license (PhD or PsyD) required upon hire.
• Active licensure in Arkansas, California, Kentucky, or North Carolina is required, or the ability to obtain additional required licensure.

Nice to have

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA-D) certification.
