Process Integration and Yield Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The role requires standing and walking for up to 80% of the workday and is assigned to Shift 1.

Annual salary range: $60,450–$85,340 USD for an hourly role.

What you will do

• Analyze physical, electrical, and technical defects contributing to yield loss, performance degradation, or reliability concerns.
• Conduct semiconductor failure analysis, electrical validation, fault isolation, and defect characterization.
• Use analytical methods including scanning electron microscopy to inspect and characterize defects.
• Prepare samples, perform laboratory analysis, and produce technical reports with findings and recommendations.
• Execute engineering experiments, process evaluations, and manufacturing test runs to improve process integration and yield.
• Collaborate with process integration, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and engineering teams on corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a STEM field and 4+ years of hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience, or a bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience must be in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, or a related technical environment.
• Willingness to perform precision manual work, including small-device soldering and fine polishing.
• Ability to set up, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical and laboratory equipment.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing or laboratory facility.
• Experience with acoustic imaging, X-ray inspection, SEM, TEM, EDX, or sample preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques.
