Resident Engineer, AI Security

Location: Onsite in Sunrise, Florida, on a regular customer-embedded schedule; the posting also lists Orlando, Florida.

Targeted compensation: $110,000–$140,000 per year.

What you will do

• Deploy and operate inline inspection of AI traffic across self-hosted models, commercial APIs, RAG systems, and agents.
• Manage proxy topologies, TLS inspection, streaming responses, routing, guardrail policies, authorization, and tool-use controls.
• Build and run automated adversarial testing campaigns against models, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and agents.
• Maintain versioned evaluation suites and integrate security testing gates into MLOps, CI/CD, and development pipelines.
• Produce structured security findings with reproduction steps, severity assessments, and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with platform architects, model risk teams, and security leads while providing operational feedback to Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, cloud platform engineering, or technical solution delivery.
• Production programming experience with Python and Go, including integrations, microservices, benchmarking, and test automation.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, REST, gRPC, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of L4/L7 traffic management, reverse proxies, TLS inspection, networking diagnostics, and modern network stacks.
• Practical knowledge of LLM application stacks and AI security risks, including RAG, vector databases, tool-calling, prompt injection, jailbreaking, and data leakage.
• Ability to work onsite in Sunrise, Florida, on a regular customer-embedded schedule; a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments, including PCI DSS, GLBA, SOX, or model risk frameworks.
• Customer-embedded engineering, professional services, or technical field experience in enterprise security software.
• Experience with pgvector, vector stores, LLM guardrail frameworks, AI gateways, Garak, or PyRIT.
• Familiarity with A10 products, WAAP, ADC/SSLi technologies, or relevant cloud, Kubernetes, and security certifications.
