Sr. Security Engineer - Platform & Shared Services (AI)

Location: Remote (United States)

Base salary: $135,000–$205,000 per year for US-based team members, plus annual bonus potential, equity participation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement security controls for firewalls, IAM, endpoint detection and response, and secrets management across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Build security automation and tooling with Python, Go, or Bash, and manage security infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Manage vulnerabilities and threats by triaging scanner results, investigating root causes, and driving risk reduction.
• Review code and architectures, and embed static analysis, dynamic testing, and dependency scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Respond to security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and maintain tested runbooks for critical risks and zero-day events.
• Partner with Legal, IT, Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience teams to deliver secure-by-default templates, libraries, and workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration, DevOps, network engineering, software development, or security-related work.
• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP and experience managing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Experience writing automation in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Working knowledge of IAM, PKI, cryptography basics, network protocol analysis, and threat modeling frameworks.
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes and the ability to communicate security risks to non-security audiences.
• Must be based in the United States for this remote role.

Nice to have

• Offensive security experience in penetration testing, red teaming, bug bounty programs, or reverse engineering.
• Experience with Falco, eBPF-based monitoring, zero trust architecture, or network isolation.
• Experience with static or dynamic analysis rules, SBOM and software supply chain security, HSMs, hardware tokens, applied cryptography, or identity provider integrations.
• Experience contributing to security training, threat modeling workshops, CTF events, conference talks, or open-source security projects.
• Background in production engineering, SRE, software engineering, startups, open-source, AI, or data science.
