What you will do

• Design, assemble, and modify automated machinery for product testing with guidance.
• Develop mechanical mechanisms, CAD assemblies, electrical control systems, wiring, and test equipment.
• Program and debug PLC, HMI, robotics, and other automation systems.
• Use sensors, actuators, instrumentation, power supplies, data acquisition systems, and power analyzers.
• Report project progress and coordinate with engineers to achieve design intent and cost-effective test systems.
• Create technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software; SolidWorks or NX is preferred.
• Understanding of circuits, electronics, AC and DC power electronics, sensors, and actuators.
• Ability to use laboratory equipment and develop technical documentation.
• Ability to travel 5% and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of LabVIEW, Allen-Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs, HMI programming, and Ignition or other SCADA systems.
• Basic machining skills.
• Knowledge of generative AI, AI agents, machine learning, predictive analytics, prompt engineering, knowledge retrieval, or optimization.
