Strategy & Operations Generalist (AI/Fintech)

Location: NYC office in Union Square; hybrid work

Salary: $180K–$200K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Own recurring finance operations including advisor payouts, invoicing, collections, and partner revenue.
• Run accurate monthly payment processes for more than 100 financial advisors.
• Automate spreadsheet-driven workflows with AI-powered tools, controls, and documented procedures.
• Answer advisor and internal questions and resolve operational issues with Advisory Operations, Trading, Billing, and Post-Sales.
• Build the processes and scope of a new strategy and operations function.
• Support strategic projects involving advisor pricing, deal economics, new programs, vendor evaluations, and planning analysis.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or strategy, operations, or finance at a high-growth startup.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, including lookups, nested logic, pivot tables, and multi-input calculations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to investigate small unexplained variances.
• Strong written communication and the ability to explain compensation calculations clearly.
• Experience using LLMs and agents to build workflows, tools, or automations, with appropriate human review for high-stakes outputs.
• Ability to gather information across teams and operate independently in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in wealth management, financial services, or fintech.
• Experience with advisor, broker, producer, commission, or individually negotiated incentive compensation.
• Experience being the first person in a role and building processes from the ground up.
• Background combining investment banking or consulting with startup experience.
