Manager, Corporate Strategy

Location: On-site in San Francisco or Rohnert Park, California; moderate travel may be required for planning sessions, leadership offsites, conferences, and selected external meetings.

Base salary: $160,000–$175,000, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Partner with executive leadership and Finance on enterprise strategy, strategic priorities, and long-range planning.
• Evaluate markets, products, clinical use cases, customer segments, geographies, and adjacent opportunities to guide investment and portfolio decisions.
• Lead high-priority, enterprise-wide initiatives from problem definition and analysis through cross-functional execution and measurable outcomes.
• Assess business and operating model evolution, including pricing, contracting, customer economics, decision rights, and scalable processes.
• Support resource allocation, investment prioritization, value creation, and performance management across the portfolio.
• Prepare strategy narratives, decision memos, and executive and board materials using market, competitive, financial, clinical, and operational insights.

Requirements

• MBA from an accredited program required, plus a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of combined pre- and post-MBA experience in corporate strategy, strategy consulting, strategic finance, business operations, or a similar analytical strategy role.
• Strong structured problem-solving, strategic thinking, market analysis, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and scenario analysis skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for executive leadership and board audiences.
• Experience leading cross-functional work without direct reporting authority and driving initiatives from analysis through execution.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco or Rohnert Park, California.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical devices, biopharma, healthcare technology, or another complex regulated industry.
• Experience with executive strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, or major cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience using AI tools and LLMs to accelerate research, analysis, scenario development, and presentation creation.
